It seems that WhatsApp’s servers were down earlier today, which means you would not have any kind of free messaging, sending of videos and photos to the rest of your WhatsApp mates. Considering social networking giant Facebook has announced earlier this February that they would be acquiring WhatsApp for a whopping $19 billion, where that works out to $42 or so per subscriber, to pay that amount of money and see the service experience an outage is not something that one would normally expect.

And the African subsidiary of condom maker Durex sent out a tweet reminding people what they could do instead of sitting back and waiting for WhatsApp to return to service.
