Apple recently implemented changes to its loyalty program designed for organizations like schools and businesses, improving the discounts given to those customers. Customers are eligible to receive discounts through Apple Retail’s Business Team after spending more than $5,000. Apple’s particular program is three-tiered, offering increasingly greater discounts at $5,000, $35,000, and $200,000.

Organizations and enterprises that spend more than $5,000 a year on Apple products will be seeing an increased discount on volume buying of Apple hardware. Apple as of last week has improved its hardware volume purchasing discount, and added the unlocked iPhone and Apple TV to the program for the first time. The improvement in discount ranges from one to three percent, depending on the level of annual spending on Apple products. Companies spending between $5,000 and $35,000 on Mac and iOS hardware (known as the “red tier”) will see their average discount increase from five percent to six percent off the list price.
