HP has unveiled the new Split X2 WIndows 8.1 tablet hybrid

The folks at HP have unveiled a couple of new products today which include the Split x2. The name might sound a bit unusual but its actually quite literal. You can “split” the device and get the best of both worlds. Basically its a notebook/tablet hybrid. There’s a handsome choice of processor options available so its not like users will be strapped for speed. Since they’re not tied to the keyboard dock they can simply detach the tablet and use it on the go. Among other notebooks unveiled by HP Today are the new Chromebook PC and SlateBook. The latter is a 14-inch full HD touchscreen display touting notebook that’s powered by Android 4.4. The new Chromebook builds up on the Chromebook 11 that was released last year.

HP has unveiled three new two-in-one PCs today, all powered by Microsoft’s latest Windows 8.1 operating system. These new devices include the HP ENVY x360, Pavilion x360, and the Split x2. Let’s take a look at these three new devices and see what they have to offer. The HP Split x2 features a 13.3-inch 10-point touchscreen display and an ultra-quiet fanless design. The device is powered by an Intel Core processor. The HP Split x2 is a sleek and lightweight detachable PC that features an advanced hinge design and dual battery system. This means you will have a battery in the base and a battery in the tablet. This allows you to easily switch between the notebook and the tablet with ease and without losing any power. No other details were given about the device, except that it will be available in the United States on July 16th at $599.99. The ENVY x360 features a 15.6-inch diagonal 10-point capacitive touchscreen and is powered by an Intel Core processor. The device aims to bridge the gap between work and play, allowing you to seamlessly shift to tablet or tent mode to watch movies or play apps from the Windows Store. This device will be available in the United Stats on June 11th, starting at $679.99.
