You’ll want to take another look at Samsung’s unsettling privacy policy

If any of you own a Samsung Smart TV you might want to take a look at the company’s privacy policy regarding such devices. A redditor discovered a little tidbit in the privacy policy that, while the whole of it can be read in the link below, basically says that the TV is listening to you… always… and it records everything it hears…

Samsung Smart TV privacy policy is taking a lot of criticism since the last couple of days ever since a reddit user found out a few sentences in the policy which essentially warn users not to talk about personal or sensitive information in from of their Smart TV because it would pick that up. Comparisons are being drawn between this policy and George Orwell’s infamous dystopian novel, 1984, and people are starting to wonder out loud whether Orwell’s vision of the future is slowly coming to light.

What do you think?
