You can now pre-order Razer’s new micro-console

One thing that Android TV has given rise to is budget-friendly micro-consoles that can play videos games just as well as current-generation consoles, thanks to the power of cloud computing, but cost far less. One such micro-console is Razer’s Forge TV which was announced some time ago has only just recently become available for pre-order. The standard version will run you just $100, while the $150 version will get you the same thing plus a controller.

Android TV has been slow coming, but it is here. Albeit, in a limited fashion. Of course, you can pick up the Google default Android TV system which comes in the form of the Asus manufactured Nexus Player. However, if you are after a different unit, then the choices are beginning to emerge. For instance, if you are in the market for a built-in unit (opposed to the standalone boxes on offer) then it was only recently reported that Sony have finally revealed their price structure for their upcoming Android TV running, TV sets. Not to mention, that in the first week of April, Razer’s Forge TV unit was also reported as finally becoming available for pre-order on Amazon. Well, it now looks like Razer’s option is increasing in its pre-order availability. This is because their Forge TV unit now seems to be available directly from the Razer website. Of course, like Amazon, this is still only in a pre-order status. However, the latest change does at least mean you can now get your orders in early and directly from Razer, if that is your preference. Like Amazon, you can pick up the bundle, which consists of the main unit and a Serval controller for $149.99. However, if you are just after the unit by itself, then this is available for $99.99.

What do you think?
