Xbox Video web service is now available

Microsoft has expanded its Xbox Video player to allow users to stream movies and TV shows. However, users can only stream in standard definition as HD is not supported at the moment.

Microsoft on Wednesday officially expanded its Xbox Video player to the web, where users can stream movies and TV shows, much like you already can through the standalone clients on Xbox One and Xbox Video on Windows 8.1. Oddly, however, you can only stream in standard definition. Yes, you read that correctly: HD is not supported online right now.

What do you think?
