Xbox One gives you achievements for watching movies and TV shows

Achievements for Xbox consoles were previously only attainable through video games, but true to its plan to turn the Xbox One into an all-in-one entertainment device, Microsoft is now letting users get achievements by watching movies and TV shows.

Microsoft has released a fresh batch of screenshots that show off the dashboard functions of the Xbox One. One of those shots, featured at the head of this post, shows achievement progress for watching TV. Yep, it’s happening.
