Vine has finally released a web version of the popular video sharing app,  the company announced on its blog. The mobile version and the web version are almost identical except that the web version does not allow users to post videos, search for one another, or search for channels.

Vine unveiled a web version of the popular video sharing app on Friday, the company announced on its blog. The web version has most of the same functionalities as the mobile app, including the ability to scroll through the feed, comment on videos and Like videos. Users can also visit profiles of the people they follow and scroll through those users’ Vine videos. However, the web version does not allow users to post videos, search for one another or search for channels. The app does have an “explore” feature.

at first i was excited but now i’m just kind of peeved because why, from a user satisfaction standpoint would the web version be so ridiculously neutered…
