Upvoted Weekly is Reddit’s new community-driven newsletter

Considering how Reddit is a community-driven website, it makes sense that its first weekly newsletter is community-driven as well. Known as Upvoted Weekly, Reddit’s new opt-in newsletter will feature some of the best content that popped up on the website each week as curated by the people.

Earlier this year, Reddit launched its first official podcast, Upvoted, and after 600,000 downloads, is announcing its first weekly newsletter. Upvoted Weekly is a new opt-in newsletter which will feature the best content from Reddit each week, curated by people, and delivered on Sundays. The company says that signing up for the newsletter won’t affect your privacy in any way and the company will not be connecting your email address to any Reddit usernames you might have. Reddit says that it plans to use both Upvoted Weekly and its Upvoted podcast to broadcast stories from the site to a wider audience “while still in your voice.” The idea of a newsletter may serve the site well; content moves so fast on Reddit that it’s often hard to keep up, so a newsletter will be a good way to surface great content you missed.
