Tweet directly from your blog or website

We have all been wondering what the deal has been with Twitter cutting off third-party apps from their site and perhaps we now know why. In the past few days Twitter has announced a new feature known as “embeddable tweets”, giving its users a fresher way of connecting.

Though the changes for developers have caused frustration, Twitter seems to want its users to be more active on their site as opposed to using third-party apps. However, it seems as though Twitter realizes that not everyone will go directly to their site to communicate, therefore they have designed a new tool that is accessible from blogs and websites.

Although it is not mentioned on the Twitter blog, it’s pretty safe to say that this is their goal; to keep users using their platform even when they are not directly on the site, releasing a real-time tool for web developers.

Their “embeddable timeline” enables you to place any public timeline on your site. Easily enabling you to connect with tweets, read and reply to tweets that others created on Twitter.

You can add this new Twitter tool to your website or blog with a one line of html adding any account’s tweets, favorites, lists, search query or hashtag; giving Tweeters the ability to tweet to you from your site without having to leave your website to chat with you via Twitter.

You will also be able to expand to view photos, cards, retweets and favorite counts and it is designed to load fast and accessible on mobile devices.

This latest Twitter feature can help you easily track a promotion using your hashtag and keep up-to-date with your following, most importantly it enables those who do tweet to do so from your site without the hassle of trying to communicate with you offsite or in another form.

This is ideal for businesses to stay constantly connected to their followers or of those who visit their site and perhaps have a question or are looking to take part in their latest Twitter contest and promotion.

As you are well aware, Twitter has become the easiest way of communicating with a business in comparison to other social networks since it is quick and easy. It will only work however, if you are paying attention and active on your Twitter account, this tool gives you yet another reason to set yourself up on Twitter or become more active and in touch.
