Samsung will be releasing a new Chromebook next year that will come equipped with the South Korean company’s xynos 5 Octa 5420 processor, an application processor based on “big.LITTLE” technology with four low-power cores and four high-performance cores. The new Chromebook is also said to have storage options of 16GB or 32GB, as well as USB 3.0 support, a seven-hour battery, and a weight of just over 1kg. It will reportedly retail for between $250 and $300.

Business Korea on Monday said that the South Korean tech giant will push out a new Chromebook in the near future, with a possible unveiling set for next year’s Consumer Electronics Show. Samsung, though, has pushed back against that latter prediction.
