Sales for the Wii U jump by nearly 1400% in Japan

Nintendo has had a very difficult time getting people to buy the Wii U, even in Japan. Prior to the release of Wii Party U, the Wii U was being outsold by the PSP, but now Nintendo’s next-gen console is enjoying a massive 1400% sales boost in Japan.

Thanks to the release of a Wii Party U bundle in Japan, the Wii U enjoyed a weekly sales jump of almost 1400%. The system went from 2,598 sold all the way to 38,802.
