Razer’s Cortex app will help you find the best deals for video games

We’re sure everyone likes a good deal every now and then, and if you were thinking that games these days are starting to become a bit too pricey for your liking, you might be pleased to learn that Razer has plans to do something about that. The company, which has been known for releasing gaming peripherals has recently announced a new app called the Razer Cortex. What the app does is that it will help gamers locate game bargains, meaning that you should be able to find all the best deals in one location, as opposed to having to scout individual retailer websites to look for them. As it stands, Razer Cortex will be able to pull data from the likes of Amazon, GameStop, GOG, Green Man Gaming, Steam, and Origin.

Razer has announced Razer Cortex, a free app through which gamers can find game bargains, launch games while purportedly boosting computer performance, back up save games, and record in-game footage. Razer Cortex: Deals is being touted as the cornerstone of the app, offering a price comparison engine to help gamers keep up-to-date with price drops across stores such as Amazon.com, GameStop, GOG, Green Man Gaming, Steam, and Origin, with “more to come.” Players can also create wish lists, which allows them to receive notifications whenever a game on their list is discounted. Razer Cortex: Deals can also suggest other games users might enjoy based on their previous gaming activity. Other features include a screen capture gallery, a save file backup function, and a “game booster” that claims to improve your gaming PC’s performance. A two-week-long early access event is being held from today up till Razer Cortex’s launch on September 10. Anyone with a Razer ID can sign up for the chance to test server performance prior to launch. Currently, Razer Cortex is only scanning for price deals within the US region; its reach will expand to other regions after launch.
