Microsoft can’t keep up with the demand for the Microsoft Band

At the end of October, Microsoft made a surprising quiet announcement which unveiled the company’s first wearable – the Microsoft Band. With it priced at $199, it proved to be a hit and sold out in a relatively short amount of time. Now the bad news is that it seems that Microsoft appears to be unable to keep up with the demand for the Microsoft Band. The company has recently sent out an email to their customers who have expressed interest in the device, informing them that they are still currently out of stock and that they should try their local Microsoft Store which could have some units available.

For those of you who are itching to get your hands on a Microsoft Band, you will have to keep on waiting. Microsoft Store is sold out with all three sizes of the Microsoft Band and there is no word on when we will see the stock replenished. In the meantime, Microsoft has sent out an email to interested customers with a promo code for their troubles. Here’s what Microsoft had to say: “Thank you for your interest in the Microsoft Band. Due to customer response, we no longer have any available for online sale. However, your local Microsoft Store may have some in stock through the holidays. Visit or call your local store. To make it right, we’re giving you a one-time promo code good for $10 off your next purchase of $50 or more from the Microsoft online store. To redeem your $10 off, go to http://www.microsoftstore.com, select what you’d like ($50 min), and add it to your cart.” The promo code is only valid at the online Microsoft Store and is being given to those who inquire about the Microsoft Band and have been on a waiting listing to receive notification of when the product comes back in stock.
