Hong Kong hotels gives customers free smartphone

53 sec read

When traveling overseas and if you want to stay in contact with your friends and family back home, there’s always the option of roaming, although it does get pretty expensive. An alternative would be to get a local SIM card but in the case of some carriers that locked the SIMs on their phones, this might pose a problem as well. Well if you’re ever in Hong Kong, perhaps the Hyatt Regency might be a hotel worth checking out because it seems that during their stay, guests are provided with a free smartphone that they can use during their time at the hotel.

When traveling abroad, one of the major considerations that must be planned for the connected individual is how to stay connected. Swapping out SIM cards is often the more affordable way to do it, but for those that crave convenience, some will just bite the bullet in deal with high-dollar roaming packages. If you happen to travel internationally to Hong Kong at all, you might want to stay at the Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Tsui. There, guests are provided with a complimentary smartphone to use throughout their stay. The device, an Alcatel OneTouch Idol X, may not be the latest banner waving flagship, but the 5-inch full HD Android smartphone is very well equipped and certainly more than capable at taking care of your business while in Hong Kong for a holiday (or business trip).  We gave the Idol X solid marks in our review.
