Google tries to fix Chrome’s battery problem

The energy situation in mobile devices isn’t simply controlled by the battery itself. The use of programs can increase the drain on the battery and Chrome is a major culprit for doing this. Google is working on ways to keep it from using processor resources that cause batteries to drain more quickly.

Google recently implemented a new feature in Chrome that detects and shuts down any unnecessary Flash content on a web page. The intent was to free up some CPU cycles and ultimately, improve battery life on mobile devices and notebooks.

What do you think?
