Google has finally launched its own online store for hardware products

Alongside the launch of its new Chromebook Pixel laptop, Google has finally opened an online store for its ever-growing range of hardware products which currently includes the Chromecast,  Nest smarthome devices, the Nexus Player streaming box, Nexus smartphones and tablets, and various Android-powered smartwatches. This marks Google’s latest step towards entering the retail space.

Google has launched an online store for its growing range of hardware products. The store, which debuted on Wednesday, coincides with the launch of Google’s new Chromebook Pixel laptop. Other hardware for sale include the Nexus tablet line, the Nexus Player streaming box, Chromecast, Nest thermostats, Android-powered smartwatches and a variety of accessories. Google has recently been making strides in the retail space. On Wednesday, the company also opened its first brick-and-mortar store in London; it is housed inside an existing UK electronics retailer called Currys PC World, and offers the same selection of products as the online store. The online store automatically integrates with existing Google user accounts, and offers free shipping on all orders, although it notes the latter could change. Customers can also video chat Google support employees, who can answer questions about the products.
