Free AT&T Wi-Fi to be offered at the 21,000-plus seat American Airlines Center

50 sec read

We’d heard this project was underway but now it’s official: AT&T and Aruba Networks are the forces behind a new Wi-Fi network at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, a 21,000-seat facility that is home to the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA and the Dallas Stars of the NHL. According to an AT&T press release put out today the new Wi-Fi network will have 315 access points, bringing more connectivity to the AT&T DAS that has already been in place at the arena since 2012.

In this day and age, we tend to hunt down areas as well as public places where there is free Wi-Fi connectivity wherever we go. American Airlines has decided to team up with mobile carrier AT&T to upgrade the fan experience by rolling out a new Wi-Fi network at the 21,000-plus seat American Airlines Center, thanks to the introduction of over 315 new AT&T Wi-Fi access points. The AT&T Wi-Fi network will be broadcast using Aruba equipment, where it will be facilitated by Aruba Mobility Controllers. With such a huge number of AT&T Wi-Fi access points available, it ought to be more than enough for fans to connect, apart from sharing their ups and downs on social networks while engaging with teams throughout the facility, which will comprise of the seat, concourse and concession stand areas.
