Founder of Plurk releases Re.mu, a social network for style lovers

Re.mu is a new fashion-based social network created by Alvin Woon that is targeted at style lovers. Woon, who also founded Plurk, says that he wanted to create a site that would attract users who are already showing off their daily outfits on other apps. While Re.mu’s community is still relatively small, Woon claims that the community is highly engaged and uploads about 25,000 posts per day.

Remember Plurk, the social network was once considered a rival to Twitter, along with other microblogging sites like HeelloFriendFeed and the late Rejaw? Plurk is still trucking along with 10 million users (and new funding from W.I. Harper) and now its founder, Alvin Woon, is working on Re.mu, his new fashion-based startup.
