Users of China Telecom’s mobile IM product Yixin can get 300MB of free data simply by registering on the app. They can also acquire an extra 60MB each month by sending a mere 5 messages that month. Customers with China Mobile and China Unicom can also get the free 300MB of data by inviting six friends to Yixin.

It seems that Chinese companies are going all out to lure customers to their apps with free data — and the war is being played out especially in the messaging apps arena. Users of China Telecom’s mobile IM product Yixin can now get up to 300MB of data for free, Sina Tech reports.
