The LG G Pad 10.1 has been released globally

The LG G Pad 10.1 was announced a couple of months ago, and here we are with word that this particular tablet has just seen a global launch. Being the largest tablet in the G Pad series, the LG G Pad 10.1 happens to be the ideal tool for on-the-go media consumption, since it comes with a generous widescreen display alongside a mammoth 8,000mAh battery that ought to provide users with plenty of playback time on your travels. Expect the LG G Pad 10.1 to arrive with the G series’ premium user experience (UX) to boot, where it will include a bunch of features that can also be found on the LG G3, where among them include Touch & Shoot, Gesture Shot, Smart Keyboard and Dual Window, where Touch & Shoot will let you tap anywhere on the display in order to focus and activate the shutter, saving time for that once-in-a-lifetime shot.

The LG G Pad 10.1, the largest tablet in LG’s G Pad series, has gone global. Introduced in June, the family of Android-powered tablets includes features borrowed from the company’s lineup of smartphones. The South Korean electronics giant announced the European availability in June of the 7-inch G Pad 7.0 but said that its 8-inch G Pad 8.0 and 10.1-inch G Pad 10.1siblings would launch in coming weeks. Along with an 8,000mAh battery, the tablet incorporates the KnockCode security feature already found on its smartphones. Through KnockCode, users can power on and unlock their device through a quick series of taps. The G Pad tablets will remember up to four sets of knock patterns, which means multiple people can use the same tablet and maintain their own unique security. The tablet also sports the Smart Keyboard feature, which aims to reduce keyboard errors by learning from users’ typing habits to better predict what you intend to type. The new tablets also borrow the G3’s multitasking Dual Window mode, which splits the screen to let users view and use two apps at the same. As with the other members of the G Pad family, the G Pad 10.1 comes with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, and a 1,280×800 HD display. Buyers will have a choice of five colors — black, white, red, orange, and blue.
