Another day, another Samsung Galaxy S5 rumor makes an appearance, although this time around, it would not be the handset that appears, but rather, what is allegedly the back of the Samsung Galaxy S5’s box. The photo above is touted to be one of the bottom side of a retail Samsung Galaxy S5, where it points to its fair share of hardware specifications that are actually different from what we have read and talked about so far.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 will have a 5.25-inch QHD display of 2560 x 1440 pixels after all, if a leaked image of the phone’s box turns out to be the real deal. An anonymous tipster provided the image to a Galaxy S5 enthusiast site based in the Netherlands and it was spotted by TechnoBuffalo on Tuesday. The image contradictsrecent reports that Samsung’s Galaxy S5 will instead use a 1080p display. If the image is accurate, the flagship phone will have a massive 560 pixels per inch, far more than most currently available devices. To see individual pixels on such a screen would be difficult even if you held the phone just a few inches from your eyes.
