Cover, an intelligent Android lock screen, exits private beta

After months of private beta status, Cover is now available in the Google Play Store. The free app, still in a public beta status, is a smart lock screen of sorts for Android devices, showing specific apps based on context such as time of day or location.

Cover, the contextual lockscreen replacement for Android, is now available to download for free from the Google Play Store. Cover uses information such as the time of day and your location to provide you with quick access to the apps that are most relevant to you at a given time. It also offers a recent app switcher to make it easy to bounce between apps while you are using your phone. Cover is available for phones running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or newer in the US, Europe, and Canada, though the developers say it will be compatible with Android 2.3 Gingerbread devices and in more countries in the near future.
