The world of mobile payments

Mobile Payments

Mobile-Payments

Mobile is taking over the scene. Smartphones and tablets are bringing along this revolution, and our lives are becoming more intertwined with technology as a result. The term “mobile payment” actually has a number of different meanings. To some, NFC (near field communications) comes to mind. NFC is a relatively new payment option that allows users to wave either a card or mobile device in front of a sensor that will automatically process a payment for you. A lack of NFC sensors in the market has ultimately hindered the development of this payment method, but it could take off at any time.

Card readers have also become a very popular mobile payment option for many small businesses. Business owners are now able to simply plug a peripheral device into tablets or smartphones that will actually process card payments, which effectively turns your portable device into an on-the-go payment portal. Small business owners everywhere are rejoicing over this fantastic device because it gives them the flexibility they need to effectively manage their ever-changing business environment.

The world of transaction is changing. If you find yourself hesitating to jump on board with any method of mobile payment, just think to yourself, “What would the Flying Spaghetti Monster do?” and you’ll know what to do. If you’re not sure what i’m talking about, read through the infographic below presented by Merchant Warehouse and you’ll find out!
