Brilliant Invention by Harvard Prof Lets You Huff Coffee Like It Was Glue

coffeeAlright coffee drinkers, the jig is up. You say how much you “like the taste” or that “it’s a relaxing ritual”, but we know the truth: you only drink coffee for the caffeine! Or at least, that seems to be the mentality behind a coffee inhaler called ‘Le Whif’ invented by Harvard Professor David Edwards.

By using a technology that reduces the drop size of liquids until they’re small enough to become airborne, the biodegradable inhaler can inject up to 8 puffs of caffeine-filled coffee goodness into a waiting user’s mouth. Though you might legitimately wonder why anyone would want to do that, the product’s website’s claims that you get “the kick of coffee without the cup” – which some might argue is missing the point.

As it turns out, there’s also a chocolate version too, which comes with the boast that each puff contains less than a calorie, which sounds downright delicious. Still, regardless of what one thinks of the product, I think we can all rest easy knowing that the great minds at Harvard are working on important projects like these and not something frivolous like curing cancer or creating water filtration systems for the developing world.
